The Mauritius anemone clownfish (Amphiprion chrysogaster) lives in the lagoons and coral reefs on the coast of Mauritius, possibly even in Réunion at depths 20-40 meters. Like all anemone fish, he lives in close symbiosis with several large Seeanemonenarten. As a host anemone , he accepts the bead-Anemone (Heteractis aurora), which Prachtanemone (Heteractis magnifica), the corkscrew anemone (macrodactyla doreensis), the Teppichanemone (Stichodactyla haddoni) and Mertens Anemone (Stichodactyla mertensii).
